The Author's Goal
I had the opportunity to hear a great presenter, Og Mandino, speak at the opening ceremony of the 1992 National Speakers Association's annual convention. He told the following story:
A man walking on a shoreline spent endless hours throwing starfish back into the ocean. The tide continued to rush in and wash up new starfish. The man continued to throw one starfish at a time back into the water.
A passerby asked him, “Why are you wasting your time? What does it matter? They only wash back onshore.”
Og said, “But it does matter, it matters to the starfish I throw back each time.”
Just as Jim Stovall, an international speaker, has said, “There is no insignificant person. There is no insignificant moment.” I believe there is no insignificant book!
I want to touch your life, like Dale Carnegie, Earl Nightingale, Mark Victor Hansen, Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn and Og Mandino. All of these men had a vision. Although many of these men faced great challenges in their lives, they stayed their course because they were visionaries.
Visionaries are able to see things others cannot. This ability enabled the above men to achieve greatness. A leader is a visionary who will be opposed strongly by violent opposition of people with mediocre minds.
Sometimes having the ability “not to think” or “not to wonder how,” but having the courage to “just do it” is what it takes to succeed. It is blind faith that gets the visionaries there!
It is my belief as a visionary that through “Personal Development, Power Networking and Partnering” you will build strong bonds creating life-long relationships. Through these relationships, you will achieve your dreams.
Each story, article and anecdote has been carefully selected to touch your heart while also bringing meaning and value in the business world.
I want to awaken something different in each person who reads my book by influencing your creative nature and bringing you the tools you need to succeed through combining your networking skills with today’s technology, thus giving you Networkology™.
Allow me to walk you through the process and procedures to be exceptional at what you do!

A special “Thank You” to Shadow, my cat, who spent many hours watching my pen race back and forth, patiently awaiting the time when I would set it down, to take notice of him sitting on my papers.
He would try to knock the pen from my hand, step on my keyboard, anything to capture my attention. His little paw would knock at the pen often times out of frustration. I would ignore him. He would try harder using his teeth or his head to knock the pen from my hand. I would finally give in, stop and give him the attention he requested.
Many nights, when everyone would be snuggled in their beds for the night, it was me and my Shadow at the keyboard.
I love you, Shadow, who is always by my side and is perfectly content to sit and wait.
